SECURITY
Security you can see,
and controls you can use.
This page explains how MOVA protects your account, how payments are checked before they move, and what to do if something doesn’t look right.
01 · ACCOUNT PROTECTION
Only you get in.
Signing in to MOVA takes more than a password. Two-factor authentication asks for a code when you sign in, and biometric login uses Face ID to open the app on your phone.
You can see every device signed in to your account and remove any you don’t recognise.
- Two-factor sign-in
- Biometric login
- Device management
02 · CHECKING PAYMENTS
Nothing moves without you seeing it first.
Before a transfer or conversion goes through, MOVA shows who it’s going to, the exchange rate, the fee and what arrives. You confirm those details — not just an amount.
When you open an account, we check your identity. It’s a short step, and it helps keep accounts from being opened in someone else’s name.
- Full details before you confirm
- Identity check at sign-up
03 · VISIBILITY AND CONTROL
See every payment, as it happens.
Transaction alerts tell you about every payment in and out. Transfers carry a live status from created to received, so an unexpected change is easy to spot.
If something looks wrong, you can freeze a card or pause your account instantly while you check.
- Alerts for every payment
- Live transfer status
- Freeze a card or pause an account
04 · YOUR INFORMATION
Share only what you choose.
Hide your balances whenever you open MOVA somewhere public, and control what you share with the people you pay. Account details for each currency are shared only when you send them.
How MOVA collects and uses personal information will be set out in our privacy notice.
- Hide balances
- Control what you share
05 · RECOGNISING FRAUD
Know the warning signs.
Unusual activity on an account is flagged for review. Most scams, though, start outside the app — with a message that tries to rush you into paying.
- Pressure to pay quickly, or to keep a payment secret
- A familiar contact asking to be paid to new details
- Requests for your sign-in codes — MOVA won’t ask for them
- Offers that promise returns if you send money first
06 · IF SOMETHING LOOKS WRONG
What to do, in order.
- 01Pause firstFreeze your card or pause your account in the app while you check what happened.
- 02Check your activityLook at recent payments and signed-in devices, and remove any device you don’t recognise.
- 03Tell usContact MOVA support from the app so we can look into it with you.
/ FAQ
Questions,
answered.
No. Never share a sign-in code with anyone, including someone who says they work for MOVA.
Sign in on another device, review your signed-in devices and remove the lost one. You can also freeze your card or pause your account while you sort it out.
Alerts for payments in and out are one of the quickest ways to spot a problem, so we recommend keeping them on. You can manage them in Security & privacy.
A quick identity check when you open an account helps keep accounts secure and stops them being opened in someone else’s name.
Contact MOVA support from the app straight away with the transfer details, and check the transfer’s status in your activity.
